Fracture Sounds Releases Blueprint: Woodwind Ensemble for Free

Blueprint: Woodwind Ensemble for Free

Fracture Sounds has introduced Blueprint: Woodwind Ensemble, a free orchestral woodwind library designed for effortless sketching. This ensemble patch blends six core instruments from the woodwind section, recorded individually and seamlessly combined for expressive and intuitive playability.

Authentic Woodwind Ensemble Sound

Blueprint: Woodwind Ensemble features piccolo, flute, oboe, cor anglais, clarinet, and bassoon, recorded at Nave Studios with multiple microphone positions (close, mid, and far). This setup provides a natural, spacious sound suitable for a variety of musical styles.

Flexible Articulations and Performance Control

The library includes two primary articulations:

  • Staccato: Crisp and characterful short notes
  • Sustain: Expressive, dynamically controlled via the mod wheel

Additionally, the Performance Short-Sustain articulation allows seamless switching between both articulations based on velocity, eliminating the need for traditional keyswitches, though they remain available for those who prefer them.
