Turnt Plugins has announced Holding Hands, a multiband parametric saturator plugin currently available as a free download for a limited time. It is designed for users who want more precise and controlled saturation, rather than broad full-range coloration.
A Multiband Saturator With Surgical Control
Holding Hands takes a more detailed approach than a typical one-knob saturation effect. It offers five separate bands, each with an adjustable frequency range and draggable nodes styled like a parametric EQ. That makes it possible to place harmonic content exactly where it is needed instead of applying the same treatment across the whole signal.
From the description, the main idea seems to be gentle and targeted enhancement. So while the plugin can clearly be pushed into more creative territory, it looks especially useful for subtle tonal work and controlled density.
Multiple Saturation Types and Channel Modes
Each of the five bands includes a choice of 17 saturation algorithms. These cover several categories, including Tube, Tape, Transistor, Console, Clipper, and Utility. As a result, the plugin appears flexible enough to move between cleaner harmonic shaping and stronger coloration depending on the source.
In addition, each band includes five channel modes: stereo, mid, side, left, and right. That opens the door to more focused stereo work, which is not something every saturation plugin handles this deeply.
Useful on Vocals, Low End, and Mix Bus Work
Turnt Plugins highlights several use cases, and they make sense for this type of processor. Holding Hands can be used to add warmth and presence to vocals, saturate the low end separately from the mids and highs, and handle more creative parallel distortion tasks.
It also seems well-suited to gentle mix bus enhancement, especially when the goal is to add a bit of harmonic density without making the full signal feel overprocessed.
