Reflex Acoustics Releases Reflexive Free EQ VST Plugin

Reflex Acoustics has released the Reflexive EQ plugin as a free download (VST3, AU, and AAX). It’s a fast, dynamic EQ focused on transparent mid/side tone‑shaping with automatic gain‑staging and a minimal control set.

The core engine uses four dynamic bell filters that can compress or expand, so you can tamp down harshness, enhance transients, or open up space without static boosts and cuts.

Dynamic Bells And Mid/Side Control

Each of the four bands can run in compression or expansion and target Mid and/or Side information. That makes it easy to de‑ess the center while widening air on the sides, or carve space around vocals, drums, and bass without smearing the stereo image.

Detection, Look‑Ahead, And Auto Gain

Attack and Release are available per band, with up to 10 ms Look‑Ahead for clean, responsive action. The detector range is customizable (and can be auditioned), with an automatic threshold that behaves consistently on both loud and quiet material. Optional automatic make‑up gain aims for a neutral LUFS impact, so the level stays honest while the tone changes.
