QuietFormat has released two free modulation plugins: Auralis Chorus and Auralis Multi Mod. Both are lightweight, well-designed tools that cover classic modulation effects without getting in your way. If you’re looking for subtle movement or more expressive texture in your tracks, these are worth grabbing.
Auralis Chorus
Auralis Chorus is a clean, straightforward chorus plugin with two modes that can be used individually or blended. Chorus 1 leans smooth and warm, giving you that familiar analog-style depth. Chorus 2 is brighter and more stereo-focused, great for opening up guitars, keys, or vocals.
You can use them on their own or together with a single switch that mixes them at a 50/50 balance. There’s also a simple dry/wet mix knob to control how much effect you’re adding. No menu diving, just a few intuitive controls and a resizable interface that plays nice in any DAW.
Auralis Multi Mod
Auralis Multi Mod combines three familiar effects, Vibrato, Auto Pan, and Tremolo, into one plugin. Each section has its own depth and rate controls, and Tremolo can sync to your DAW tempo for rhythmic modulation. It’s designed to be simple but flexible, making it easy to add movement without reaching for separate plugins.
- Vibrato: Pitch modulation for vintage wobble or subtle detuning
- Auto Pan: Stereo motion with control over speed and intensity
- Tremolo: Volume modulation with tempo sync for rhythmic chops
There’s no need to overthink things here; the layout is intuitive, and it loads quickly without taking up much screen space.
