Gooey Audio has released Talkie, a single‑control formant filter plugin that turns frequency‑rich sounds into vowel‑like tones – free until February 20 (then $19.99).
Small, efficient, and fun, Talkie uses a series of vocal‑modeled filters to morph simple sources, synth saws, basses, noise, into animated “ah/oo/ee” textures.
One Slider, Five Vowel Modes
Talkie keeps things dead simple. A single main slider sweeps the formant response while the on‑screen display shows the filter curve moving in real time. It pairs especially well with harmonically dense signals (try a sawtooth with some drive) and can add instant motion to otherwise static parts.
Features
- Single‑slider design for quick vowel sweeps
- Five morphable modes: AYA, AE, OA, EO, IE
- Visual display of the filter frequency response
- Lightweight, boutique plug‑in by Gooey Audio
- Formats: VST3, AU, AAX for Windows & macOS
Free Download
Talkie formant filter plugin is available as a free download until February 20 (then $19.99). Grab it for Windows and macOS in VST3/AU/AAX formats via Gooey Audio.
