A Direct-Recorded Electric Guitar for Kontakt
Guitar Series Direct SG is a Kontakt-based virtual instrument that recreates a classical humbucker-equipped electric guitar with a direct signal path. As a result, users get a clean, flexible guitar tone that works well with their amp simulators, pedal chains, and mixing.
Instead of locking users into a pre-processed sound, Sound Props keeps the source tone open and natural. Because of that, the instrument can fit rock productions, film scoring work, blues arrangements, and other guitar-driven projects.
Built for More Realistic Guitar Performance
Sound Props sampled the instrument chromatically and included up to six velocity layers for a more natural playing response. In addition, the library includes a wide range of articulations, allowing users to build parts that feel more detailed and expressive.
These articulations include palm mutes, legato, tapping, slides, harmonics, and other performance details. The instrument also includes mechanical noises such as fret buzz and pick attacks, which help add a more realistic feel to MIDI guitar parts.
Pickup Options, 12-String Mode, and Extra Textures
The interface includes a 3-way pickup selector for neck and bridge humbucker tones, along with adjustable tone and volume controls. Moreover, users can switch on a built-in 12-string mode for a fuller and richer layered sound.
The library also adds extra textures such as metal slider sounds, tremolo bar effects, feedback morphing, and sustain variations. An articulation matrix is included as well, making it easier to map keyswitches and adjust the workflow to match different playing styles.
